On November 7, Bishkek hosted the "Yntymak" soccer tournament, dedicated to the centennial of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous region and Press and Information Day. Students from the International Medical University, Eurasian International University, and the Medical and Pharmaceutical College participated in the event. The tournament was organized on the initiative of the educational institution leaders and with support from student councils. A total of 10 teams from the three institutions took part.

A Tournament Symbolizing Unity and Mutual Understanding

The name of the tournament, "Yntymak," which translates as "unity," reflects its main objective: to promote friendship and mutual understanding among students from various countries. The participants included not only Kyrgyz nationals but also international students from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Kuwait, and Turkey. Egyptian and Indian students formed separate teams, further highlighting the event’s international character.

Unity and Competitive Spirit

Along with recognizing the best soccer players, the main purpose of the tournament was to establish friendly connections and strengthen relations between Kyrgyz and international students. Despite challenging weather conditions, the games were exciting. Each team fought hard for victory, showcasing endurance and teamwork.

The results of the tournament were as follows:

  • 3rd place – the team of first-year students from the Medical and Pharmaceutical College
  • 2nd place – the Egyptian student team, "Arabia"
  • 1st place – the SC-1-2-21 group team from the International Medical University

The winners received a trophy, medals, certificates, and cash prizes. Additionally, players were recognized in the categories of "Best Forward," "Best Defender," and "Best Goalkeeper."

Results and Future Prospects

The "Yntymak" soccer tournament fulfilled its purpose: participants became acquainted, strengthened friendships, and celebrated each other’s achievements. Based on the tournament’s results, a unified team of top players from these educational institutions is now being formed to represent them in national student competitions in Kyrgyzstan.
